The Town maintains 402 km of roadway within the Area Municipality of Bracebridge. This total includes 96km of District Roads.Of this, 229 km is hard topped surface and 173 km is a gravel surface.
Road maintenance generally consists of the upkeep of municipal roadways including but not limited to snowplowing, sanding, salting, grading, surface repair, ditch maintenance, culvert maintenance, roadside mowing, brushing, dust control, shoulder repair, bridge maintenance, catch basin maintenance, street sweeping in designated areas.
Within our municipality there are roadways which receive maintenance year round; roadways which receive maintenance during the summer months only; and roadways which receive no municipal maintenance. Information on a road by road basis is available by inquiring from our office.
