The Bracebridge Memorial Arena was constructed in 1949 replacing the Yearley's rink that burned in 1944. An important recreation facility for the community, it is host to a number of activities including: ice hockey, figure skating, public skating, recreation programs and special events. In January 1952, the facility showcased to two teams consisting of retired National Hockey League players competing for the first time making it the start of NHL Oldtimers' Hockey and the filming of the first hockey game played in Canada to be seen on network television. The arena houses an indoor ice surface and summer dry floor surface, concession operation, meeting room, community hall with a kitchen and bar area and the Sports Hall of Fame. The Arena is home to the Bracebridge Skating Club, South Muskoka Minor Hockey Club and the Bracebridge Sports Hall of Fame showcasing Irvine "Ace" Bailey, Frank Carson and Roger Crozier. This facility has a seating capacity of 1200 people, with a total spectator capacity of 1400 people. It is partially wheelchair accessible, with 2 sets of washrooms, and ample parking and is adjacent to the skateboard park. We have meeting rooms available for meetings, luncheons, dinners, weddings etc. Interested parties will be required to complete an auditorium rental contract and submit a Certificate of Insurance along with a rental deposit. The Town also has a Municipal Alcohol Policy which will apply to applicable rentals.

It is also the home of the Bracebridge Tennis Club. It is named after James W. Kerr who joined the TransCanada Pipelines Limited system and was instrumental in building the Canadian natural gas industry. Three Amigos Dog Park is also located here with a 1.7 acre green space, with two (2) separate fenced in areas, for large and small dogs to enjoy being off-leash, in a safe area.

Rene M. Caisse Memorial Theatre |

Caisse Memorial Theatre was officially opened in 2007 and is named after Rene Caisse, a local cancer nurse credited with formulating Essiac. The theatre includes 303 seats with 244 on the main level, 55 in the balcony and two box seats. The theatre is operated through a partnership between the Trillium Lakelands District School Board and the Bracebridge Arts Council oversees the operation and management of this performing arts facility.
