Municipal Programs |
Community Improvement Grants and LoansIn addition to eliminating municipal development charges for non-residential development, the Town of Bracebridge has introduced a number of different financial incentives to assist local building and business owners: Event Tourism GrantsThe Town of Bracebridge also has a grant program to assist private and not-for-profit organizations with the hosting of tourism events. Community GrantsFinally, the Town of Bracebridge has a separate grants program to assist community groups or non-profit organizations with specific projects or one time funding. |

Prior to July 3, 2014, Bracebridge's non-residential development charge rate was $14.63 per square metre for new development. Today it is ZERO. Prior to July 14, 2014, the District of Muskoka's non-residential DC rate was $32.83 per square metre, today it is $17.44 per square metre. Significant cost savings are now available when developing in the Town of Bracebridge.
In July of 2014, both the Town of Bracebridge and the District Municipality of Muskoka reduced their development charge rates to encourage new development in the community. For the latest Development Charges By-law for the Town of Bracebridge, please click here.
