Ontario has an Employment Standards Act (ESA) that applies to most employees and employers. The Act summarizes labour laws for:
- Child employment;
- Parental leave;
- Hours of work;
- Vacation pay;
- Minimum wage;
- General/public holidays;
- Conditions for paid holidays;
- Overtime pay;
- Pay legislation;
- Termination of employment; and
- Information pertaining to employment agencies;
