Taxes and Property Assessment

Your property taxes help to fund the services we deliver, including road maintenance and repair, snow removal, and other town services. Your taxes support the education sector in your community and also pay for services delivered by the District Municipality of Muskoka.

Taxes are calculated by multiplying the assessed value of your property by the tax rate set for your property class.  There may be further adjustments to the commercial, industrial and multi-residential taxes due to provincial legislation.

Your final property tax bill is split between:

• The Town of Bracebridge
• The District Municipality of Muskoka
• The Provincial Government (education rate)

To avoid any penalties, be sure to pay your property taxes on time.
