Reloadable Fare Cards (easyPASS and waveCARD) |
|||||||||||||||||||||
The waveCARD and easyPASS are interactive smart cards that passengers hold over the tag zone located on the farebox. The tag zone reader recognizes what type of fare or pass is on the card and approves or denies the ride, electronically, in about a second. Once you buy your first waveCARD or easyPASS for $2.50, you keep using the same card. waveCARD The waveCARD is a pre-paid card where passengers can load a number of trip fares to the card, up to a maximum of $150.00 at one time. Each time the card is swiped over the tag zone, the fare applicable to the passenger will be deducted (Adult/Student/Senior). The waveCARD is only available for the conventional bus. easyPASS The easyPASS is a monthly pass where passengers can load between one to three calendar months to their card and enjoy unlimited rides during those months. Prior to the end of each month, simply take it to one of the below locations to load the next month's transit pass, or turn it in on the Bracebridge bus and get one "free" ride. A maximum of 3 months can be loaded to the easyPASS. Your card of choice can be purchased and loaded or reloaded at:
The monthly pass payment can be made by cash or debit payment card. Cards are transferable and are not registered, which means a lost card cannot be replaced, so take care not to lose it. Seniors and Students must show valid ID when boarding the bus. |
