Public Boat Docks and Launches By-Law 2003-077 |
The Town provides, free of charge, several public docks and boat launching facilities for launching and short term docking purposes. Generally, docking of a boat at a public dock is not permitted longer than 4 hours Overnight docking is prohibited with the exception of the Bracebridge Bay Park (24 Hour Limit). Certain docks are a maximum of 15 minutes for loading/unloading purposes All public docks and launches are well signed and the public is asked to adhere to the posted regulations. Boats docked in contravention of the By-Law may be impounded at the owner's expense. |
Dog Control By-Law 2013-078 |
Every dog within the Town of Bracebridge must be licensed annually. Licence fees are $10.00 per year for all dogs. Every person in charge of a dog must pick up and dispose of dog feces in a sanitary manner. Dog owners not allow their dogs to run "at large" at any time. Dogs must be kept on the owner's property or under control at all times when off the property. Dogs picked up while running at large are impounded. Dog owners are responsible for paying all outstanding fines, impound charges, boarding and veterinarian fees prior to their dog being released. View our Dog Control By-Law No. 2013-078 |
Noise Control By-Law 2016-021 |
The Noise By-Law regulates different types of "noise" and the days and times that specific types of noises are prohibited. "Noise" is any unwanted sound that is clearly audible and of such a volume that it causes a disturbance to the person listening to the sound. Musical noise from a stereo, television, amplifier or musical instrument is generally prohibited at any time in residential areas. The persistent barking of a dog is not permitted to disturb residents of Bracebridge at any time. Domestic tools such as lawnmowers, leaf blowers, snow blowers, saws and the like are not permitted to disturb residents between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. (9:00 a.m. on Sundays and holidays). |
Clean Yard By-Law 2014-002 |
This By-Law requires the owner of every property in the Town of Bracebridge to keep their property clear of garbage, debris and inoperative motor vehicles. It also requires that all fences and structures be kept in a safe condition. |
Burning Control By-Law 2014-018 |
The Burning Control By-Law regulates both recreational (campfire) and non-recreational (slash pile fire) outdoor burning.
Daytime burning is prohibited between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and at all times if a fire ban has been declared. The burning of yard waste (including leaves, pine needles and green wood) and garbage is prohibited in residential areas (Fire Zone 1) at all times. If your fire is creating a nuisance to any resident due to smoke, sparks or unpleasant odour, you may be asked to extinguish the fire. |
