The Recreation Department delivers a broad range of programs and services and works closely with local recreation and sport organizations to meet the needs of residents and visitors to Bracebridge.
We are responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Bracebridge Sportsplex, Memorial Arena, Skateboard Park, Kerr Park Chalet & Tennis Courts, Kelvin Grove Multi-sport courts and are involved with the design and building of the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre.
We manage the use of recreation and sport facilities through facility bookings and work closely with the community to plan for improvements or in the development of new facilities.

Many opportunities are available to enjoy the benefits of excellent Recreation programs and services in the Town of Bracebridge. Programs and activities for all ages and abilities include: skating, fencing, tennis, pickleball, indoor walking, aquatics, indoor climbing and low ropes, beach volleyball, community sports, training programs, leadership development, general interest, day camps, fitness, health and special events. Facilities |
Our facilities are welcoming, diverse and inclusive. A modern Sportsplex, which includes 3 swimming pools, a waterslide, different sized meeting rooms, a 32 ft indoor climbing wall, and a beach volleyball court. The Muskoka Lumber Community Centre is under construction. Learn more about the centre, which includes a Field House and Library and how you can be involved with sponsorship. Programs like Best Seat in the House and Buy a Bay have opportunities for members of the public to have a family name, business or loved one's name embossed on an arena seat or library bay. Donations to those include a tax receipt, different options for payment and 15% of funds raised will go to our local hospital. Arena, and a variety of parks, beaches, scenic trails and walking paths all lend to a healthy active community and enhance our quality of life. |
