New all-way stop at Rosewarne Drive and Taylor Road
BRACEBRIDGE, ON (November 18, 2024) – Beginning Monday, December 2, the intersection at Rosewarne Drive and Taylor Road will be revised from a one-way stop on Rosewarne Drive, to an all-way stop. Approved by Town Council on August 14, this change will address existing safety concerns and improve overall traffic operations. New roadway signage and road markings will be installed prior to the implementation date indicating the change.
In 2023, the Town retained the services of D.M. Wills Associates Limited, Consulting Engineers, to prepare a traffic study on Rosewarne Drive as a first step in addressing safety concerns received from the community due to the volume of commercial truck traffic on Rosewarne Drive. The study identified that traffic conditions at the three-way intersection of Rosewarne Drive and Taylor Road met the warrants contained in the Ontario Traffic Manual for an all-way stop control.
