Kids Aquatic Fitness
We have aquatic program opportunities beyond Swim Lessons for those children who love the water.
Dancing Dolphins and Kids Aquafitness Blast both provide additional pool time and will kids active and developing their ability in the water.
Youth Recreation Leadership Program
Become an aquatic lifesaver by enrolling in fully subsidized courses! Deadline to apply is August 23rd.
The Town of Bracebridge's Recreation department is pleased to offer successful candidates the funding needed to receive their lifesaving qualifications. This opportunity is available to youth in the community who meet the minimum qualifications as outlined by the Canadian Parks and Recreation Association, and is made possible thanks for the National Safe Swimming Program grant.
The grant is available for:
- Youth between 15 and 30 years
- Residents of Bracebridge
- Youth committed to personal development and community service

Swim Lessons
Our aquatic programs go beyond teaching techniques and skills; they focus on fostering friendships, boosting self-esteem, and creating lasting positive experiences.
Following the Lifesaving Society's Swim for Life program, our Swim Instructors are trained to provide instruction that helps participants develop into strong and skilled swimmers.
We have modified our program to facilitate a smoother progression between levels. Refer to the Swim Progression Chart below to understand the path your child(ren) will take through our program.
Further, if you are transitioning from a Red Cross Program, refer to our conversion chart.

Lifeguards and swim instructors have a positive impact on our community, keeping swimmers safe, teaching swim lessons to children, youth and adults, and developing our next generation of aquatic leaders.
