The Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) has issued a Flood Outlook bulletin for Bracebridge-Minden-Parry Sound District in effect until March 21. Runoff to local lakes and rivers is anticipated to increase significantly. As a result, water levels and river flows are expected to rise with increased runoff.

Effective Friday, March 14, the Town of Bracebridge has closed the floating snowmobile bridge over the Muskoka River near 154 Beaumont Drive (MR 16) and 147 Santa’s Village Road (MR 15).

The Bracebridge Fire Department and Muskoka Paramedic Services are pleased to reschedule the door-to-door food drive in support of the Salvation Army South Muskoka Ministries food bank for Monday, March 24 from 6 to 9 p.m.

This year, the Town of Bracebridge is celebrating its sesquicentennial anniversary. As the Town prepares for the signature event, the Community Celebration and Showcase on June 7 and 8, local businesses, community organizations, and individuals are invited to be a part of this historic milestone year through sponsorship.

Effective immediately, the Town of Bracebridge is temporarily closing the laneway from Manitoba Street to the Carnegie Library Parking Lot that is situated between the historic Carnegie Library building (94 Manitoba Street) and the Service Canada building (98 Manitoba Street) to vehicles and pedestrians.

The Town of Bracebridge, in partnership with the Downtown Bracebridge Business Improvement Area (BIA), is inviting professional artists to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the creation of a large-scale outdoor mural in the heart of downtown Bracebridge.
