Candidates certified for the 2026 Municipal Election

BRACEBRIDGE, ON (August 24, 2026) – The nomination period for the 2026 Municipal Election has now closed, and candidates have been certified for the offices to be elected in Bracebridge.

With the candidate list now finalized, all eligible electors are encouraged to visit bracebridgevotes.ca to find their ward, review the certified candidates running for each office and learn more about the individuals seeking election.

Who can I vote for?

Unless a candidate has been acclaimed, all Bracebridge electors can vote for Mayor and three District Councillors. Electors can also vote for the Town Councillor representing their ward, and School Board Trustee (as applicable). Bracebridge has five wards and four School Boards:

• Ward 1 – Bracebridge
• Ward 2 – Monck/Muskoka – Candidate acclaimed
• Ward 3 – Macaulay
• Ward 4 – Draper
• Ward 5 – Oakley – Candidate acclaimed
• Trillium Lakelands District School Board (Bracebridge)
• Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board (Area 5) – Candidate acclaimed
• Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario (Secteur A) – Candidate acclaimed
• Conseil Scolaire Catholique MonAvenir - Simcoe-Muskoka

Voting for the 2026 Municipal Election will take place online or by phone from October 14 to 26. Before then;
