Economic Developers Council of Ontario Regional Event to be hosted in Bracebridge in 2027
BRACEBRIDGE, ON (October 7, 2026) – The Town of Bracebridge will welcome economic development professionals from across Ontario next fall as the host community for the 2027 Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO) Muskoka Regional Event.
The two-day event will take place September 28 to 29, 2027, and will be hosted in collaboration with Venture Muskoka, an alliance of municipal economic development professionals from across Muskoka. EDCO Muskoka will bring professionals together to learn, connect and explore the economic development opportunities, initiatives and successes shaping the region.
EDCO announced Muskoka as one of four communities selected to host a 2027 Regional Event, alongside Welland, Manitoulin Island and Peterborough. EDCO’s Regional Events bring professional development programming directly into communities across Ontario and provide delegates with an opportunity to learn from the places they visit.
For Bracebridge and the broader Muskoka region, hosting the event provides an opportunity to showcase the community to professionals who work every day to attract investment, support businesses, strengthen local economies and build vibrant communities.
The event is also expected to provide a direct economic benefit to the community. Delegates travelling to Bracebridge will have opportunities to experience local accommodations, restaurants, shops, attractions and other businesses while they are here. Hosting professional events like this also helps position Bracebridge and Muskoka as a destination for future conferences, meetings and business travel.
The Economic Developers Council of Ontario is Canada’s largest provincial economic development association, supporting Ontario’s economic development community through professional development, networking, mentorship and other opportunities.
