Swim into Halloween fun at the Pumpkin Plunge

BRACEBRIDGE (October 5, 2026) – The pumpkins are back!  The Town of Bracebridge is inviting children and families to make a splash this Halloween season at the Pumpkin Plunge, happening on Sunday, October 18 from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Bracebridge Sportsplex. This event is generously sponsored by Waste Connections of Canada.

Children of all ages can enjoy a fun-filled public swim with pumpkins. Before splashing in the pool, take part in indoor climbing, and free crafts and activities to celebrate the season, including decorating a trick-or-treat bag or pumpkin paper craft. Participants will receive a ticket at entry for the opportunity to take home a pumpkin after the swim. Pumpkins will be available first-come, first-served.

Schedule of Events

  • Pumpkin crafts and colouring from 12:30 to 2 p.m.
  • Open climb and photo booth from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.
  • Pumpkin plunge swim from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
  • Pumpkin decorating from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

The event will also feature a festive photo area with Halloween inflatables provided by Home Depot. Thank you to Walmart and Food Basics for donating the pumpkins.
