Winter parking regulations take effect October 16

BRACEBRIDGE, ON (October 9, 2026) –The Town of Bracebridge is reminding residents and visitors that winter parking regulations will be in effect beginning October 16.

Under the Town’s On-Street Parking By-law, parking is prohibited on all municipal streets and municipal parking lots between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. from October 16 through April 15. The overnight restriction helps ensure that snow-clearing operations can be carried out safely and efficiently when winter weather occurs.

The Hiram Street parking lot is the exception to the overnight parking restriction. There are 16 designated parking spaces within that lot that permit overnight parking throughout the year.

Residents and visitors are reminded to plan ahead and ensure vehicles are parked in permitted locations during the winter months. Vehicles parked in violation of the winter parking regulations may be subject to enforcement.

For more information about winter parking regulations, including the locations of permitted overnight parking spaces, please review the Town’s On-Street Parking By-law.
