Bracebridge 150 serves up a community picnic to remember: food trucks, flavours, and fun

BRACEBRIDGE, ON (May 28, 2025) – Get your appetites ready! As part of the upcoming Bracebridge 150 Community Celebration and Showcase, the Town of Bracebridge invites residents and visitors to gather for a fun, delicious Community Picnic on June 7 and 8, at J.D. Lang Activity Park.

Whether you’re craving something sweet, savoury, deep-fried, or fresh off the grill, this milestone event will feature a vibrant lineup of local food trucks and vendors, offering something for every taste. With plenty of picnic tables and open grassy areas, guests are encouraged to settle in and enjoy great food with great company, all while celebrating 150 years of community spirit.

Featured food vendors include:

  • The Fryer Truck: A Bracebridge favourite serving golden, crispy, made-to-order fries and comfort food classics;
  • Sugar Nuts Mini Donuts: Fresh mini donuts tossed in cinnamon sugar or other sweet toppings, a must-have for sweet tooths of all ages;
  • The Banger: Serving up an elevated version of sausage on a bun and hearty grilled favourites with big flavour and local flair;
  • Halibut House Food Truck: Delicious, flaky fish and chips made with quality ingredients and expert care;
  • Screamy’s Ice Cream: Locally made, small-batch artisanal ice cream and sorbet bars to help you beat the heat;
  • Beaver Tails: Iconic Canadian pastries with a variety of toppings, from classic cinnamon sugar to indulgent chocolate hazelnut;
  • Muskoka Pioneer Power: serving up hot dogs, hamburgers and ice cream from the Pioneer Power pavilion; and the
  • Lions Club of Bracebridge: Serving BBQ favourites, drinks, and snacks in support of local service initiatives.

In addition to the wide selection of food vendors, guests are welcome to bring their own picnic baskets and blankets to enjoy a DIY lunch with family and friends.

The Community Picnic is open throughout the celebration weekend, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Admission for the weekend-long event is free.
