Bracebridge Transit introduces convenient online fare card payments

BRACEBRIDGE, ON (November 10, 2025) – Starting today, Bracebridge Transit riders can manage transit fare card balances and monthly passes online through the new UseTransit portal. This enhancement will empower passengers with a faster, simpler, and more flexible experience.

With the new online system, riders using a waveCARD and easyPASS can:

  • Check their current fare card balance;
  • Reload stored-value waveCARD funds using debit or credit instantly, from any device; and
  • Renew or purchase easyPASS monthly unlimited-ride passes.

No need to visit the Sportsplex or Municipal Office, everything can be done from home or on the go.

What This Means for Riders

  • Instant access: No more running low on funds or having to venture out just to reload. Funds can be added to fare cards anytime, anywhere.
  • Fewer boarding delays: Topped up balances and valid passes load immediately, reducing the time to tap on when boarding.
  • No cash needed: Transition away from exact change, just tap your card and ride.
  • Track spending: Card holders can review their usage and reload history to stay on budget.
  • Added security: Having a UseTransit account gives riders peace of mind. Lost or stolen cards can be reported.

Boosting Transit Reliability
Offering online payment options supports Bracebridge Transit’s broader mission of improving service reliability and user-experience. Faster fare processing leads to quicker boarding, a more efficient route, and, ultimately, an enhanced travel experience for all riders.

What Riders Should Do Next
To take advantage of online payments, riders will need a new waveCARD or easyPASS card that is compatible with the new service. Riders with existing cards can trade in their cards for a new one for free before January 31, 2026. Beginning February 1, 2026, riders will need to purchase new cards at a cost of $2.50 per card.

  • Register with UseTransit online at bracebridge.ca/transit.
  • Link your waveCARD or easyPASS to start loading funds online.
  • Explore the dashboard. Learn how to check balances, review ride history, and prepare for seamless travel.
