Celebrating National Public Works Week: Recognizing the team that keeps Bracebridge moving
BRACEBRIDGE, ON (May 14, 2025) – The Town of Bracebridge is proud to recognize and celebrate the dedication and contributions of its Public Works team during National Public Works Week (NPWW), from May 18 to 24. This annual celebration honours the professionals who work behind the scenes to ensure the community runs smoothly and safely.
This year’s NPWW theme, “People, Purpose, Presence,” speaks to the heart of the industry. Public works staff are motivated by a commitment to serve, whether maintaining roads and bridges, clearing snow, or ensuring parks and facilities are clean and accessible. Often unnoticed when everything is running well, these essential workers are always present, driven by purpose and a dedication to the people of Bracebridge.
This winter, the Public Works team went above and beyond, responding swiftly and tirelessly to record amounts of snowfall and a devastating ice storm. Their expertise, endurance, and around-the-clock efforts kept the community moving and safe during some of the most challenging conditions. From snow clearing and road maintenance to facility operations and trail upkeep, the Public Works team plays a vital role in shaping Bracebridge into a vibrant place to live, work, and play.
Join the Public Works team at the Bracebridge 150 Community Celebration and Showcase on June 7 and 8 at J.D. Lang Activity Park. Have the opportunity to Touch-A-Truck with the onsite equipment.
