Schedule of events announced for Bracebridge 150 Community Celebration and Showcase, an event you don’t want to miss
BRACEBRIDGE, ON (May 8, 2025) – The Town of Bracebridge is thrilled to invite residents and visitors to the highly anticipated Bracebridge 150 Community Celebration and Showcase, taking place on Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at J.D. Lang Activity Park. This free, family-friendly event marks a significant milestone in the town's history, celebrating 150 years of community spirit, culture, and growth.
Generously supported by the Government of Canada, Bracebridge Agricultural Society, and Fowler Construction, the weekend promises a vibrant array of activities and entertainment for all ages. Attendees can look forward to:
- Live Music: Two stages featuring local talent all weekend long, including jazz, folk, country, rock, and more.
- Family Entertainment: Kids of all ages will enjoy performances by Jam Sandwich, The Liam Kearney Show, Pete and Anna, aerial performances by Ascension Aerials, and Zoe Stardust’s famous Bubble Show.
- Community Showcase: Get to know Bracebridge by exploring vendor and sponsor booths showcasing local artists, businesses, and engaging community exhibits.
- Community Picnic: Enjoy a variety of food trucks and vendors or pack your own picnic to share with family and friends.
- Beer Gardens: Enjoy a selection of beverages from Bracebridge Hall in the indoor and outdoor beer gardens, perfectly positioned beside both stages so you can sip and take in the show.
- Historical Vehicle and Equipment Show: Explore classic cars and historical equipment displays.
- Authors Corner: Hosted by the Muskoka Authors Association, featuring live readings from local authors.
- Touch-A-Truck: Get up close with various Town vehicles and equipment.
- Escape Room Challenge: Put your problem-solving skills to the test in the on-site escape room, perfect for preteens, teens, and adults. The fastest team out has the chance to win a $200 Shop the Bridge gift card.
- Digital Photo Booth: Capture memories with themed photo opportunities.
- Friendship Bracelet Making: Craft and trade bracelets in the Bracebridge 150 branded colours as a token of community connection.
- Indigenous Bracelet Making: Engage in traditional crafts and learn about Indigenous culture.
- Birdhouse Building: Build your own birdhouse at the Home Depot workshop.
- Maple Lane Farms: Meet the horses and learn about local farming heritage.
- Muskoka Goat Away: Interact with friendly goats in a fun, educational setting.
- Zoo-To-You: Enjoy unforgettable wildlife encounters with a variety of exotic animals.
- Live Chainsaw Carving: Witness a live demonstration by Precision Carving.
- Lawn Games: Enjoy classic games suitable for all ages, such as lawn bowling, croquet, potato-sack races, Plinko, and more.
- Scavenger Hunt: Look for stamps located throughout the event to gain entry into a prize raffle.
