Town of Bracebridge celebrates Small Business Week and encourages businesses to connect with local supports

BRACEBRIDGE, ON (October 20, 2025) – This week marks Small Business Week in Canada, an opportunity to celebrate local entrepreneurs, acknowledge their hard work, and highlight the many supports available to help them succeed. The Town’s Economic Development team is dedicated to supporting local businesses and fostering a thriving, resilient economy. From helping entrepreneurs start or expand their operations to celebrating business milestones, the team works alongside the community to help turn business goals into a reality.

As a Branch within the Planning and Development Department, Economic Development provides a range of services and resources, including:

  • Guidance and information for starting, growing, or finding a location for a business;
  • Connections to funding opportunities, training, and local partnerships;
  • Promotion of business news and milestones; and
  • Support for workforce development and investment attraction.

New this year, the Town has launched a Business Celebration Request Form, designed to make it easier for local organizations to share their achievements and milestones. Whether celebrating a grand opening, anniversary, expansion, or new product launch, businesses can now connect with the Town to help promote their success through the Town’s communication channels and community reach.

The Muskoka Small Business Centre (MSBC) is another vital resource for the local business community. MSBC has supported local businesses across Muskoka for more than 30 years, offering guidance through the provincially funded Small Business Enterprise Centre (SBEC) program. Managed by the Town of Bracebridge since 2005, MSBC continues to deliver impactful programs like Summer Company and Starter Company Plus, alongside personalized business consultations and resources. MSBC is funded by the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade.

During Small Business Week and throughout the year, the Town of Bracebridge encourages both new and established businesses to connect with the Economic Development team to learn more about the resources and supports available to help them achieve their vision for success in Bracebridge.
