The Town of Bracebridge has declared a Significant Weather Event for all sidewalks and Town roads effective immediately. As the forecasted freezing rain and weather conditions progress, road maintenance may to be impacted. Public Works crews have been servicing roads all day in preparation of the winter weather event and will continue to monitor the situation.

The Town of Bracebridge is pleased to open outdoor skating at the Memorial Park Winter Village Skating Trail (130 Manitoba Street) and Annie Williams Memorial Park Skating Rink (50 Santa’s Village Road) for the season beginning at 4 pm on Wednesday, December 24. The trail and rink will be open daily from dawn until 9 pm.

Take notice that the Planning and Development Committee will hold a hybrid public meeting on February 4, 2026 at 2:30 P.M. This meeting will be held in a Hybrid format in accordance with Section 238 of the Municipal Act, and the Town’s Procedure By-law, which provide for Electronic Participation.

Reporting to the Manager of Revenue/Tax Collector or designate, the Senior Tax Administrator supports the effective administration of property tax and municipal accommodation tax for the Town of Bracebridge. The key responsibilities related to property tax administration include, overseeing the Town’s preauthorized payment plan program, completing month-end processes, conducting regular tax roll maintenance, and assisting with tax registrations and roll adjustments. 

Beginning January 1, 2026, new Ontario Fire Code requirements for carbon monoxide (CO) alarms will come into effect, bringing harmonization with national codes and Ontario-specific updates.

Reporting to the Director of Planning and Development or designate, the Manager of Planning Services is responsible for supervising Branch staff, overseeing the processing of all planning applications, managing large-scale planning policy and regulation development and reviews, preparing long-range plans, providing expert advice and analysis, and streamlining practices while fostering excellence in customer service.  

Reporting to the Wellness and Aquatics Coordinator or designate, the Aquatics Lead Instructor is responsible maintaining a safe and welcoming aquatic environment by providing quality programs such as recreational swims, swim lessons, and aqua fitness. The Aquatics Lead Instructor is responsible for conducting mentoring and training part-time staff, as well as performing lifeguarding and swim instructing duties. 

Reporting to the Manager of Economic Development or designate, the Heritage Specialist is responsible for the care, documentation, preservation, and accessibility of historically significant artifacts and archives that form part of the Town of Bracebridge’s heritage assets.
