The Bracebridge Fire Department is inviting residents to pull up a chair and connect with local firefighters during two upcoming “Coffee with Fire” community chats this March.
I, Mayor Rick Maloney, hereby approve the by-laws passed at the Town of Bracebridge Council meeting held on March 11, 2026 in accordance with s. 284.11(4) of the Municipal Act, 2001.
After more than 22 years of dedicated service to the Town of Bracebridge, Cheryl Kelley, Director of Planning and Development, has retired.
Effective immediately, the Town of Bracebridge has closed the floating snowmobile bridge over the Muskoka River near 154 Beaumont Drive (MR 16) and 147 Santa’s Village Road (MR 15) due to increased water levels.
Take notice that the Committee of Adjustment for Minor Variance will hold a hybrid public meeting on March 24, 2026 at 10:00 A.M.
This meeting will be held in a Hybrid format in accordance with Section 238 of the Municipal Act, and the Town’s Procedure By-law, which provide for Electronic Participation.
Reporting to the Wellness and Aquatics Coordinator or designate, the Aquatics Lead Instructor is responsible for maintaining a safe and welcoming aquatic environment by providing quality programs such as recreation swims, swim lessons, and aqua fitness. The Aquatics Lead Instructor is responsible for conducting mentoring and training part-time staff, as well as performing lifeguarding and swim instructing duties.
Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning and rainfall warning for Bracebridge.Periods of freezing rain are forecasted to begin tonight or early morning on Wednesday, March 11 and last throughout the day. Bracebridge could receive between 20 to 40 mm of rain with periods of freezing rain bringing 2 to 5 mm of ice accretion.

The Ministry of Natural Resources is advising area residents that a Watershed Conditions Statement - Water Safety Bulletin is in effect until Friday, March 13 for the Muskoka River Watershed and Black River. Please exercise caution around bodies of water. A Water Safety rating indicates that high flows, melting ice or other factors could be dangerous, but flooding is not expected.
