The Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) has updated the weather condition statement bulletin to a Flood Warning due to the forecasted precipitation.

The Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) has issued a Flood Watch bulletin for the Black River and North Branch of the Muskoka River.

The Town of Bracebridge is seeking proposals for the redevelopment of the former Memorial Arena site and adjacent lands. The Request for Proposal (RFP) invites qualified developers to submit proposals for transforming the vacant 1.48-acre site to support housing supply, affordability and accessibility as well as other community needs.

Notice is provided in accordance with Section 36 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, however there is no public hearing process with respect to amending a by-law to remove the Holding (H) Symbol. 

The Council of the Corporation of the Town of Bracebridge passed By-law 2016-088 on November 29, 2016 under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, repealing By-law 2016-049, for the property owned by James Watson, legally described as part of Lot 10, Concession 13, Macaulay Ward, Town of Bracebridge, being Parts 1 and 2 of Registered Plan 35R-22579. Permitted uses are limited on the subject property until such time that an amending by-law is passed. The earliest date on which Council proposes to meet to pass the amending by-law to remove the Holding (H) Symbol is February 12, 2025.  

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Bracebridge proposes to enact a by-law pursuant to Sections 9 and 35 of the Municipal Act, 2001 to close and sell that part of the original shore road allowance in front of in front of Big or Browning Island in Lake Muskoka, Town of Bracebridge, District Municipality of Muskoka described as Parts 1 and 2 Plan 35R-27599, PIN:  48172-0744.

Effective immediately, the District Municipality of Muskoka has temporarily closed the Silver Bridge on Ecclestone Drive pending a detailed structural assessment. There will be NO access across Silver Bridge for vehicles or pedestrians.

Reporting to the Wellness and Aquatics Coordinator or designate, the Wellness Coach is responsible for providing orientations to current and potential clients, assisting in the daily operations of the wellness centre, monitoring fitness passes and memberships, and interacting with staff, participants and the public to provide relevant information.
