TOTAL FIRE BAN IN EFFECT
The fire danger rating is set to extreme and a total fire ban is in effect. With increasing temperatures, dry conditions and the threats taking place in much of the country, a total fire ban is needed to ensure the health and safety of the community.
NO fires of any type are permitted at any time, including for cooking and warmth.
Reporting to the Recreation Business Services Coordinator or designate, the Customer Service Assistant is responsible for promoting events and programs, collecting payment for admissions, and ensuring cash is balanced at the end of each shift. The Customer Service Assistant will also provide information to the public regarding activity schedules and admission rates, answer and direct phone calls, print reports and assist with administrative and light duty cleaning.

he Ministry of Natural Resources is advising area residents that a Watershed Conditions Statement - Water Safety Bulletin is in effect until Friday, July 4 for the Muskoka River Watershed and Black River. Please exercise caution while around bodies of water. A Water Safety rating indicates that high flows, or other factors could be dangerous, but flooding is not expected.
Beginning in July, the Town of Bracebridge is constructing a new signalized pedestrian crossover on Clearbrook Trail at the intersection of Windsong Crescent and Rosemead Close. Temporary lane closures may take place during the construction period.

The Bracebridge Fire Department has kicked off their annual door-to-door smoke and carbon monoxide alarm campaign. Every Monday night from 7 to 9 p.m. until the end of September, uniformed firefighters will visit neighbourhoods in the urban areas of Bracebridge to promote fire safety by encouraging homeowners to check their alarms. Firefighters will not be entering homes.
