Beginning in July, the Town of Bracebridge is constructing a new signalized pedestrian crossover on Clearbrook Trail at the intersection of Windsong Crescent and Rosemead Close. Temporary lane closures may take place during the construction period.

The Town of Bracebridge is making it easier than ever for local teens to stay active, have fun, and connect with friends this summer, now, with double the activities. The Recreation Department is excited to offer the Summer Youth Pass, giving students aged 13 to 17 unlimited access to a wide range of recreation amenities and drop-in activities for only $50.

Due to the District of Muskoka's road resurfacing project on Manitoba Street, bus stop #340 Manitoba Street (at Fairways Court) is temporarily out of service until construction is complete.

Due to Canada Day on Tuesday, July 1, several Town facilities will be closed. 

The Bracebridge Fire Department has kicked off their annual door-to-door smoke and carbon monoxide alarm campaign. Every Monday night from 7 to 9 p.m. until the end of September, uniformed firefighters will visit neighbourhoods in the urban areas of Bracebridge to promote fire safety by encouraging homeowners to check their alarms. Firefighters will not be entering homes.

A Burning Control By-law Exemption has been issued to Parry Sound Friendship Centre as follows: EVENT: Muskoka Through Our Eyes Powwow PERMITTED EXEMPTION: Section 3, Subsection 3.1 (Set or permit a fire during prohibited time/month) of the Burning Control By-law 2014-018, as amended.

Environment Canada is forecasting a multi-day heat event that may start Saturday and last until at least the middle of next week. Temperatures could reach up to 32°C with humidex values that could reach up to the low forties.

The Coulson Family Bracebridge Library, a signature feature of the Town of Bracebridge’s Muskoka Lumber Community Centre, has been awarded a prestigious 2025 Ontario Library Association (OLA) Library Building Award. The honour recognizes architectural excellence and outstanding contributions to library design across Ontario.

Starting today, residents and visitors are invited to take a step back in time with weekly public tours of historic Woodchester. Tours will be offered every Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. until August 28. This is a unique opportunity to explore one of Bracebridge’s historic landmarks and learn about the stories behind the property.
