Yesterday, Mayor Maloney proudly presented a cheque for $18,882.16 to the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation (SMHF). This donation is the result of the Best Seat in the House/Buy a Bay campaign which helped raise funds to support the development of the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre.
While power has been restored to the majority of properties following the ice storm, a small portion of the community remains affected. The Town of Bracebridge continues to work with agency partners to provide ongoing support.
The Bracebridge Fire Department has been named a 2024 grant recipient by Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada®, receiving $25,425 to increase lifesaving capabilities in Bracebridge.

TAKE NOTICE that in accordance with the provisions of the Delegation of Authority By-law, the Acting Director of Public Works has granted an exemption to the reduced load designation on roads under the jurisdiction of the Town for home heating fuel delivery. This exemption is effective April 4, 2025 and shall remain in effect until revoked by the Acting Director of Public Works.

The Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) has extended the Flood Warning bulletin for all watersheds in Bracebridge-Minden-Parry Sound until Friday, April 11. This includes the Muskoka River Watershed and Black River.
As localized power outages continue due to this past weekend’s freezing rain event, residents still without power are urged to take advantage of warming stations and be diligent around live wires.
The Town of Bracebridge’s Emergency Control Group continues to monitor the outcome of the weekend’s freezing rain event and is working closely with partner organizations to facilitate clean up and power restoration as soon as possible.
