Today, Georgian College announced that they will cease programming at their Muskoka campus in Bracebridge at the end of the 2025/2026 term and will be disposing of their campus facility. This is deeply upsetting news for both our local students and the community.

The Town of Bracebridge is committed to maintaining service levels while Canada Post workers are on strike. Several Town services and payments can be accessed online or in-person at the Municipal Office, 1000 Taylor Court. 

Today, Mayor Rick Maloney unveiled newly updated signage along the Heritage Walking Trail as part of the Town’s ongoing 150-year anniversary celebration.

Today, Mayor Maloney, members of Council and the community officially unveiled the Town’s newest public art piece, We All Come From Water, by Canadian artist Jacquie Comrie. Created in partnership with the Downtown Bracebridge Business Improvement Area (BIA), the vibrant mural is located at 19 Taylor Road and stands as a vibrant and welcoming landmark in the heart of downtown.

I, Mayor Rick Maloney, hereby approve the by-laws passed at the Town of Bracebridge Council meeting held on September 10, 2025 in accordance with s. 284.11(4) of the Municipal Act, 2001.

Take notice that the Corporation of the Town of Bracebridge proposes to transfer the following land to the District Municipality of Muskoka, pursuant to motion 24-GC-057 (Road Widening – Highway 118 West): 

Part of Lot 2, Concession 2 Monck, Town of Bracebridge, District Municipality of Muskoka described as Part 2, Plan 35R-27729. 

In early September, the Town of Bracebridge will begin a reconstruction project of the Memorial Park bandshell. Located at 130 Manitoba Street, the bandshell plays an important role in community events and engagement.

The entrance to the Storybook Trail at Bird Lane is temporarily closed due to the Bird Lane and Richard Street reconstruction project. The trail can still be accessed via King Street and Entrance Drive (Muskoka Road 37).
