Effective Monday, March 9 at 12:01 a.m., the annual reduced load limit will be in place to ensure the road base on all Town of Bracebridge roadways are not damaged due to thawing temperatures and heavy vehicles.

While the weather is still cool and crisp, the Town of Bracebridge’s Recreation team is planning for the warmer, active months ahead. New this year, registration for spring and summer programs, swim lessons and summer camp begins on Wednesday, March 11 at 7:30 a.m.

I, Mayor Rick Maloney, hereby issue this direction to staff in accordance with s. 284.3, 284.4 and 284.16 of the Municipal Act, 2001.

As plans get underway for building upgrades and improvements in the year ahead, the Town is inviting property owners, businesses, and investors to take advantage of updated financial incentive programs available through the Community Improvement Plan (CIP).

The Town of Bracebridge has introduced the “RZone”, a policy designed to promote and uphold respectful, responsible behaviour, in all recreation facilities, programs and parks. The policy draws on best-practices established in other Ontario municipalities and further supports the Town’s commitment to creating safe, inclusive spaces for everyone.

I, Mayor Rick Maloney, hereby approve the by-laws passed at the Town of Bracebridge Council meeting held on February 11, 2026 in accordance with s. 284.11(4) of the Municipal Act, 2001.
