Real Estate Signage

Open House Signs

Temporary "A-frame" or small 'way finding' stake signs used to direct traffic to an open house event.

Regulations:

  • Maximum Sign Size and Height: Maximum area 0.5 sq. m (5.4 sq. ft), Maximum height 0.9 m (3 ft). Maximum height in a sight triangle is 0.3m (1 ft).
  • Timing: Signs may only be displayed on the day of the open house. They must be removed immediately after the event.

  • Prohibited Locations:

    • Centre Medians: You cannot place signs on the centre median of a street.

    • Sight Triangles: Signs must not block the view of drivers at intersections (the corner area roughly 7.5 m to 15 m back from the intersection, depending on the speed limit).

    • Hazards: Signs must not obstruct pedestrian traffic on sidewalks or interfere with official traffic signs.
